What is Lactation Consultation?
If you’re having any trouble breastfeeding, pumping or feeding your newborn, a Lactation Consultant or IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) can help. Our consultants are certified health professionals trained in the clinical management of breastfeeding with evidential experience and strong in-depth training in evidence-based management of lactation issues. We are generally able to solve minor and major feeding problems.
Consultants are routinely referred by gynecologists, midwives, pediatricians, doulas, and other perinatal caregivers if you’re having any trouble with breastfeeding or other early nutritional issues.
